New Jersey Gov. Signs Bills Giving Transgender Residents More Rights
New Jersey Gov. Phil Murphy (D) signed three bills into law on Tuesday that offer more rights and protections for the LGBTQ community.
The first two measures, SB478 and SB493, allow birth and death certificates for transgender residents to be amended to reflect their gender identity. People may identify themselves as female, male or undesignated. Previously, transgender or genderqueer residents had to undergo gender confirmation surgery and obtain proof from their doctor to update their birth certificate.
The third bill, SB705, establishes the Transgender Equality Task Force, which will ensure that protections are put in place for the trans community andoversee those efforts.

If you don't want a man unhappy politically, don't give him two sides to a question to worry him; give him one. Better yet, give him none. Let him forget there is such a thing as war. If the Government is inefficient, top-heavy, and tax-mad, better it is all those than that people worry over it. Peace, Montag.

The problem is all of those states between the east coast and the left coast - sometimes called flyover states.

They elect the POTUS, the elect GOP state houses and hence voting districts, the elect a larger portion of the House's GOP majority and the Senate.

Goddamn flyover states!

There are some exceptions, including Colorado and New Mexico. And many of those "flyover" states, such as Wisconsin, would be less GOP if their elections districts weren't so heavily gerrymandered and otherwise prevented non-Republicans from voting.

If it wasn't for Arizona, Idaho and Utah, we could split off the western states of the U.S. into a new country.

Imagine California, Oregon, Washington, New Mexico, Nevada and Colorado as the Western States of America - we would immediately be the third largest economy in the world and the most progressive nation in the world.

The Western States of America
populations in millions
California: 39.5
Washington: 7.4
Colorado: 5.6
Oregon: 4.1
Nevada: 3.0
New Mexico: 2.1
-----
total: 61.7

populations of border states
Arizona: 7.0
Utah: 3.1
Idaho: 1.7
-----
total: 11.8

The retirement conservatism of Arizona is very different from the survivalist conservatism of Idaho, and the Mormon conservatism of Utah is yet again different. So, write off Arizona as hopeless in the short term, and convince the survivalists and the Mormons that they are better off dealing with the economic dynamism of the WS of A instead of the the limited economies of Montana and Wyoming, and you could connect the pieces of your puzzle into a trans friendly country of 66.5 million, of which 61.7 million are in the key progressive states.

Maybe you have something.

The WS of A - I like that. Do you think I will, or better yet, raised the ire of the current US of A's DOJ for fomenting a revolution. HEY, we just celebrated a historic and wide ranging revolution.

Oh, the irony, the IRONY I say.

The bestest way to get Arizona into the WS of A camp would be for the GOP to cut or eliminate Medicare

So, if we get Idaho, Utah and Arizona into are new country, here is what the new map would look like:
