That tired phrase
It is getting fairly serious here in Lesley's world
I've gotten to the point it seems odd when my girlfriend D'arcy isn't around. It's only been like 2 weeks, but already we are pretty much familiar with each other. She's been sleeping here as much as not. More so than not I guess.
But, I have not uttered that phrase with her.
"I love you"
Not because I don't believe it, but, because actually, I think it is actually a level past that perhaps.
I'm not sure I have ever actually been in real love.
Yeah, I was married 27 years. But if I have learned anything, I have learned we can lie to ourselves very convincingly.
I lost 50 years of existence to a lie eh.
So yeah, I am not in a hurry to say I have ever been 'in love'.
So I'm willing to say I might not even know what the sensation truly feels like.
And I'm waiting to see what happens next week and maybe next month and maybe into next year.
How will it be when the days grow colder, the nights darker.
How will it feel being able to enjoy a Thanksgiving meal with my girlfriend?
How about the very substantial calendar moment in December eh.
D'arcy has kids, and D'arcy has other friends. I am still finding out where I stand in her priorities.
I'm hoping to become a special person in her life.
I want it ideally to be special.
If Life has sent me D'arcy, and D'arcy is the one for me, I'm not going to have a problem with it.
Yes, D'arcy is not a cowboy, or a cliche romance novel man D'arcy isn't even male hehe.
I am enjoying finding out who D'arcy is to me.

Being in love, or not, is not a binary state in your life. You will know when you are in love by not having to ask the question, to yourself, whether you love the person you are with.Lesley Niyori wrote:I'm not sure I have ever actually been in real love.
You will simply know. And your partner will also know when you are in love.

"Disobedience in the eyes of any one who has read history is man's original virtue. "—Oscar Wilde.
If you don't want a man unhappy politically, don't give him two sides to a question to worry him; give him one. Better yet, give him none. Let him forget there is such a thing as war. If the Government is inefficient, top-heavy, and tax-mad, better it is all those than that people worry over it. Peace, Montag.
