The face of a Trump Supporter

This was taken last night by a CNN reporter after Trump incited the crowd vis-à-vis 'fake news'
Kinda reminds me of the bigoted school girl taunting the young African-American student when she tried to enroll in the Little Rock, Arkansas Central High School in 1957.
Where the fuck are we going as a people, a Nation, as a civilization.

I wonder why these people are angry?  I think that a lot of them are just despicable.  I was shocked to learn from my US History to 1877 class in college about how most southerns prior to the Civil War did not own slaves; yet, the "white trash" in the South were adherent supporters of slavery, because it gave them a class that was "beneath them," someone whom they could look down upon.

It was very expensive to buy a 'slave' and also very expensive to keep a 'slave'. Only those farmers with extensive land holdings could afford to hold any number of 'slaves'.

White folk without land sometimes made a meager living as sharecroppers - effectively renting a portion of farmland and paying the 'rent' in the form of a portion of the crop. The rent was typically too high for the sharecropping family to rise above their misery and in some cases would not even live better than the slaves they would sometimes work next to in the fields.

Money bought you status and a sharecropper never had enough money to 'buy up' and they would always be relegated to a lower class - 'white trash'.

Most Trump supporters are white-trash. When the economy tanks here soon, at least some of them will flee the sinking Trump ship; others will follow it all the way to the Bottom.
