Joe Biden makes it 20!
Hi Everyone!
So the ex-Delaware senator has, as expected, joined the fray along with 19 others! Now he has lots of form and would in my opinion be ok, but there are things that can be thrown at him, not least the Iraq war. Also he will be 78 at his inauguration, the oldest President in history were he the successful Democratic choice and win.
Of the others, I already made may case for Kamala, she has huge backing from sponsors and is at the heart of modern Democrats, in their new and vibrant stronghold, California. She would have my vote were I American.

Should have done it in 2016 - SIGH!
He is 78 years old and while I am 72 and don't feel old, he is showing his age; I don't know if he will have the physical AND mental stamina for the next year and a half.
He will move to the center and this is okay to be elected, but he is going to have to come up with a lot of answers to what the progressives will put up. He is left of Clinton but is that going to be enough.

If you don't want a man unhappy politically, don't give him two sides to a question to worry him; give him one. Better yet, give him none. Let him forget there is such a thing as war. If the Government is inefficient, top-heavy, and tax-mad, better it is all those than that people worry over it. Peace, Montag.

Yes, but the true progressives won't like anyone and will throw up protest votes to the greenies and similar organizations and possibly blow the election again.
Progressive ideas are where we should be moving towards but in a reasoned manner. You cannot simply throw a switch have things your way.
Anyone who thinks Sanders will be our next POTUS needs to wake up and start thinking about reality.

I agree completely. Split votes got us Lord Dampnut in the first place.

Re: Joe Biden makes it 20!
Well, at the end if the selection process, there will still only be one Dem up against him and a good choice, along with a ticket with a strong VP, would stand a very good chance. But, it seems that often, the VP choice has been granted by a strong nominee, to someone dropping out, usually a no-hoper. It results sometimes in a VP nominee that was previously obscure or a liability, or weak etc.
It would be helpful to the Democrats should they avoid doing that and have two very good candidates for both POTUS and VP rather than having a weaker one, because they were a drop-out nominee vote catcher for the POTUS nominee.

Can anyone say "Sara Palin"? (I had to google her first name she is so prominent.)Celia Eriksson wrote:It results sometimes in a VP nominee that was previously obscure or a liability, or weak, etc.

Re: Joe Biden makes it 20!
Is that Tea Party thing still going?, and aren't some, (better not generalise), Alaskans just a little bit weird?
But I think something like Buttigeig and Harris would make the best pairing. It will be interesting to see who gets it anyaway. Let's face it Biden and Sanders are too old. Warren is too middle-class focused, but would be ok. O'Rourke is a poster boy and would be unable to shake the glamour boy candidate profile, would the American people take such a chance? Booker is ok too, but has not got a lot of support. Yes, Buttigeig and Harris, or better, Harris and Buttigeig!
Biden and Sanders appear to lead the field with Harris and Warren not far behind, I think you will end up with an aged, white male candidate, of which Biden stands the better chance.
