Doe v. Boyertown Area School District Empty Doe v. Boyertown Area School District

...scratching head, 'cuz I thought the SCOTUS would side with the students!
Doe v. Boyertown Area School District, where Pennsylvania students were pushing against a school policy of allowing students to use bathrooms and locker rooms that corresponded to their gender identity instead of their sex at birth. The Supreme Court refused to hear the case, leaving the policy in place.
The Boyertown Area School District implemented the policy after the Obama administration issued a letter stating that transgender students should be allowed to choose which facilities they prefer. When the Trump administration removed that instruction, the school district continued with their policy. It only takes four justices to decide to hear a case, yet the court -- with five conservatives in their ranks -- did not feel the case warranted their attention.
This is not really a victory as the SCOTUS refused to take the case leaving the lower courts' decisions stand. Apparently, the SCOTUS felt the case did not have enough pizazz to take up

"Disobedience in the eyes of any one who has read history is man's original virtue. "—Oscar Wilde.
If you don't want a man unhappy politically, don't give him two sides to a question to worry him; give him one. Better yet, give him none. Let him forget there is such a thing as war. If the Government is inefficient, top-heavy, and tax-mad, better it is all those than that people worry over it. Peace, Montag.
