When I came out to my Brother and two Sisters I did it in a joint email. I was pleasantly surprised by the response.
My youngest Sister got on the phone and called me, excitedly, telling me she now had another sister. Yeah.
My Brother told my other two Sisters that he wondered if I would now want to hit from the 'Ladies Tess'. He came to see me when I was in the hospital and while we were never close growing up said he was happy for me.
Sadly, my oldest Sister while very accepting was in the very early throes of early-onset Alzheimer Disease. I haven't had the chance to share much with her and given the future of this disease - won't.

To have someone as close as a Sister help, will be very much invaluable to you. I am pleased that you'll now have that extra boost on the road to help you be able to express your true self. I am very happy for you!

In my case, it's my big brother. We were like oil and water as kids. Just too opposite really. But as his little sister, we seem to get along very well.
He has been very accepting, and his 4 sons have been great to me.
My younger sister is estranged for entirely different reasons, as she is not speaking to my brother either. My parents are now passed away.
