Television and Movies
I couldn't find a general discussion thread about tv and movies, so I decided to make one. Talk about shows and/or movies that you like, are currently watching, etc.

Re: Television and Movies
Big fan of films featuring characters John Wick and Jack Reacher.
Essentially from the action stars of the current era.
Shamelessly love Daniel Craig as Bond. And will usually watch anything with Jason Statham in it.
I love the Jason Bourne films.
I don't routinely like 'violent' movies unless the film features an actor that makes the difference.
I stand among the people that think that Steven Segal was never any good, and just gets shittier by the movie.

I don't watch it as much as I used to, but yeah, anime is awesome.
Anyway, this is definitely worth watching.

Re: Television and Movies
Most of my preferences suffer from a severe case of age
I grew up in the 60s.
No VHS let alone dvd.
No a whole lot of things.
No manga, barely any comics.
You either watched it in the theatre, or you didn't see it.
The TV had 13 channel options. No alternatives to TV.
Warp speed to 1995, I discovered Ranma and Sailor Moon. Mainly from a super geek who had it all. He had a good paying job and no women distractions.
Advance to 2000-2005, another geek, total computer genius showed me the wonders of downloading and newsgroups. I own copies of vast sums of anime (by the TB). Both computer format and DVD. Then burners became efficient, and my dvd stash exploded. Then online services arrived, and now you can't watch anime fast enough to see it all.
I'd rather be in a book routinely, but I stare at a lot of media on my TV wannabe. So many shows. So many services.
It's rare that I see ANY form of media radically good enough to merit a comment.
Turning Red is a rare example.
I watch most new films on 123 movies. Theatres are just not worth the cash. I'd rather spend the 30-40 bucks on a great meal out or a model.

Last thing on this... I technicaly agree hat theaters are not worth te cash butttt.. there are some things I would rater see on a bigger screen but I don't have the cash two.. i hate to risk getting two threads tied together buttttt.... the one thing I would love to do with such a screen is play video games.... now that would be with the money.

The Harley Quinn show is so awesome. I can't wait for the upcoming season.

I didn't get to watch Steven Universe when it originally aired, although I knew it was very queer. I finally started watching it and yeah, it's good

Somehow it hasn't crossed the Atlantic yet. At least for my subscriptions.
Undoubtedly it will.

We are only just hearing about it, look forward to it arriving in the isles. Xx
Re: Television and Movies
The She-Hulk show is awesome, as expected. I'm guessing it'll be a low-stakes workplace comedy with superhero elements sprinkled in, which is nice change of pace compared to their other shows/movies. Jen is already shaping up to be my favorite character in the MCU. It doesn't hurt that She-Hulk is lowkey trans-coded as heck lol.

Re: Television and Movies
I go to the theater for the popcorn. And to get out of the house.
I’ve just started watching The Umbrella Academy on Netflix. Still not sure if I’m gonna like it, but will stick with it through the first season.
Other than that I watch a lot of documentary type tv and stay far away from reality tv/manufactured drama.
