Well someone was notified. You can't just fly over sovereign air space without permission.
In instances like this it is politically "correct" to not support Trump and by proxy US military operations.
As far as the missile operator... they were just doing their job.
Unknown blip = hostile = boom
Those missile stations are the primary target in first strikes.
After anti air is gone they just need eyeballs to spot targets to drop more bombs.
