Anime With Trans or IS Elements

I saw one new(ish) one that has some IS elements that could also be considered Trans elements.

(IS= Intersex)

Total anime fan here, but, I'm unaware of a single transgender anime. I know of a number that would entertain a transgender person though (more transgender female that otherwise).

Kashi Mashi is my current favourite example. Essentially a feminine boy is 'accidentally' killed (sort of) when an alien ship sort of crash stops on him, and in apology, they rebuild him from the molecular level up, but mistakenly assembly him as a girl version of himself, which leaves him as a herself.

The show is then about a guy learning what it is to wake up suddenly as a real girl in every way.

Man if only that was possible eh. The morning after my surgery was sort of like that I suppose. I woke to find my dream had come true, that I has lost that last vestige of maleness. I don't always feel the prettiest, but, since that morning, I've had zero degree of feeling male.

I My Me Strawberry Eggs was somewhat Trans/CD with a mildly weird/creepy side if you have ever seen that one.

Yes, that one is both cute and creepy (well I only say creepy as that is likely how non-anime society is going to see it).

It was amusing to see how far the guy would go to get a job.

Tenshi na Konamaiki (Cheeky Angel), is another amusing anime. What does a guy do, when they get magically turned into a cute girl with no changing back like Ranma. The guy has to deal with the idea they 'might' change back if lucky in several years time. But there is no guarantee.

Saw an anime a long time ago called Rin: Daughters of Mnemosyne. If you like the Bayonetta game you will like the anime. It is pretty violent and I wont spoil it but there are IS (intersex) people in the show. Also it is pretty heavily themed about gender.

As for anime, I'll give an honorable mention to Kampfer for its... uh, unique take on the stereotypical magical girl transformation.

one old Anime "Your'e Under Arrest" has a TG character in it after a while.

Yep, her name's Aoi Futaba, if I recall correctly. Early in the series, she's depicted as a crossdresser, but she transitions.

One of the most recent-ish trans* characters I can think of in an anime is Alluka Zoldyck from Hunter x Hunter.
