Whole Foods was founded by right wingers who saw the trap up-scale consumers are willing to get suckered into. Within walking distance of my home I have a Safeway (national brand), a Whole Foods (national brand), Lunardi's (a local chain) and Nob Hill (a regional chain).

All of the stores carry about 80-85% of the same thing. Lunardi's has much better service, a better deli, better produce, they carry the same dairy as Whole Foods and their meat is as good or better than the other stores.

So, why is Whole Foods always crowded? Because they are what angel would call the sheeple. They are Democrats/upper middle class predominantly white or Asian and like the idea of shopping at an icon - Whole Foods.

Also, Whole Foods was bought by Jeff Bezos, ooops I mean Amazon.com a couple of months ago. The last thing I want to happen to my neighborhood is to have Amazon.com trucks racing around delivering over-priced grocery store goods putting at least two of the brick and mortar operations out of business. (I really don't like Safeway, even if it is a bit cheaper!)

As for Tesla - I am in favor of battery operated cars/trucks. I am not too enamored by the Tesla business model or Elon Lusk's attitude towards the world (frankly, I don't know what his attitude is, but I have met him and he is an arrogant ass!).

The buyer for a Tesla is likely the same individual who would pass up Lunardi's and pay $0.05 more for a half-gallon of milk from the same dairy because he got a Whole Foods shopping bag to carryf out to his Tesla.

So, angel in addition to Fast - foods and Fossile Fuels, I also include Whole Foods and Tesla

Elon Musk is arrogant because super heroes are arrogant. Usually I don't care for super heroes but I make an except for Elon, after all how can you hate a guy who saved the lives of 12 kids. He got the job done. Not the weak minded know-nothing news and know-nothing rescue teams. Although the news did help, by notifying Elon and allowing him to do his job.


As for Lunardi never heard of that grocery store. America is ran by the 1%. So they don't allow anything but the rich to thrive. There used to be a big health foods store near me. But it was bought out and taken over by Whole Foods. Even though there was a Whole Foods another mile away. I used to hate Whole Foods. But now I realize they are the last bastion of anything good and wholesome about society. Without them it would be a ghetto wasteland of fast food hellscapes. They are the only remnant of culture and organic, wholesome and natural living we have left.

The rescue efforts captured international attention for a week, after Richard Stanton and another diver found the boys, trapped by rising waters. One by one, the dozen teenage soccer team members and their coach were escorted out of the cave, alive. And Musk was there, with an invention he'd dreamed up on the fly and brought to the rescue site, just in case it was needed. The invention was a kid-sized submarine, one that Narongsak Osatanakorn, the official running coordination of the rescue effort, told the Guardian was "not practical" for their mission.
