Two comments, ya gotta smile, frown never helps.
NEVER take pictures from below at that angle, you take them from above with you looking up and at an angle looking to the side.

Without a word of a lie dear, D'arcy used to look pretty much the same as yourself.
Unhappy frown, same hairline, similar facial hair. More or less similar facial structure.
This is her with nothing more than shaving a bit of laser and mostly makeup practice.
This COULD be you too.

The rule with makeup is it enhances not dominates.
If it is the first thing you see, then it is too much.

I tend to go with the more cautious

Well just remember, some of our friends are too worried they might hurt feelings. Make it plain you want blunt honesty. It keeps us from looking silly in front of strangers.

She is absolutely right. Being trans and taking photographs of yourself is somewhat of an art that you can learn. Pose where your shoulders don't spread all the way out. Tilt your head down to make your face more pointed and feminine. And always think about how happy you are to be yourself.Lesley Niyori wrote:Without a word of a lie dear, D'arcy used to look pretty much the same as yourself.

Yes learn experiment ask questions. . But I can also safely suggest that you will feel more comfortable in public when you are comfortable with yourself. The most I usually wear is lip gloss, unless I'm having a low energy day and need to touch up under my eyes. Concealer and concealer sticks also work wonders for covering facial hair even after it's shaved. Try to get a good primer and add that first. Make sure your skin isn't wet from washing. Then after that you can add foundation and then powder, or if you're impatient as I am with makeup just primer and powder will get you through the day if you carry a compact powder where you go and plan to touch it up as needed. She is right in asserting that the job of makeup is to enhance your natural features not cover them.luckykunai wrote:fair enough.. thats probably where I will end up style wise butttt..
